This autumn marked an important milestone for Dyve: The launch of our very first graduate program! As a company that grows through people, welcoming early-career talent into our team felt both natural and like an exciting next step on our journey.

In September, we were thrilled to welcome our graduate Axel. Over his first 100 days, he has brought curiosity, dedication, and fresh perspectives that have already made an impact on the company. This is the story of his early journey, what he has learned, what surprised him, and how Dyve is shaping the next generation of consultants.

From the very beginning, Axel made an impression. He remembers his first week as a “whirlwind of warm welcomes, onboarding, and diving straight into real assignments.” What made him feel at home instantly? “Everyone’s attitude.” The moment it truly hit him that he belonged came unexpectedly during a spontaneous ping-pong match after a lunch in his first week. It was a simple moment that made the new job suddenly feel familiar.

Over the past 100 days, Axel has experienced a steep and exciting learning curve. He found himself on two assignments almost immediately, one blending AI engineering with more traditional consulting work. Having supportive colleagues and a dedicated mentor meant that what could have been overwhelming instead became a manageable, even fun, challenge. He reflects that the biggest shift was “getting used to the differences between studying and working,” a transition many early-career consultants will recognize.

Along the way, there have been memories, small and large. Axel mentions the company’s Christmas celebration as a favorite one, and also the moment a major pension-fund client praised the work he had contributed to their project. These milestones, both celebratory and professional, have shaped his first months in both meaningful and motivating ways.

When asked what advice he would offer future graduates or others in similar positions, Axel doesn’t hesitate:

Ask questions. Stay curious, lean on your colleagues, and don’t underestimate the power of being open and humble.

At Dyve, no one expects you to know everything on day one, but they do want you to be eager to learn.

Behind Axel’s experience is a thoughtfully designed graduate program. The vision was clear from the start, create an alternative to the traditional consultancy-firm path, where graduates receive real responsibility, strong mentorship, and the space to shape their own careers.

To make that a reality, we built a support system that includes a dedicated training program covering consulting skills and personal development, regular check-ins and retrospectives, and an environment were asking for help isn’t just allowed but encouraged. The goal is simple, to give graduates the best possible start to their careers while contributing to Dyve’s growth and culture.

For Alexander, one of Dyve’s founders, bringing in graduates has been about more than staffing. It’s about energy, renewal, and future leadership.

Graduates challenge how things are done, bring ideas the team may never have considered, and help Dyve evolve.

As he puts it, Axel has blended into the Dyve community so naturally that it feels like he’s been here way longer than a few months.
